Protection of our resources and responsibility for environmental protection and sustainability are extremely important corporate values. We are therefore committed to making our contribution toward protecting the climate.
Energy procurement
- KTK procures its energy for all areas of the company 100 % from hydropower.
- Unavoidable greenhouse gas emissions from the procurement of heating oil are offset through additional climate protection projects.
- The annual mileage of our conventionally powered company fleet is also offset through certified climate protection projects.
Parcel shipments
A large proportion of our parcel shipments is climate-neutral thanks to our active participation in the “GLS KlimaProtect” program. The carbon emissions caused by parcel transport are offset by investments in an externally certified woodland protection and reforestation project (VCS/CCB standard).
Recycling of offcuts
Small offcuts from production are collected and sorted and fed back into the production cycle. This saves many tons of waste and enables new materials to be produced using fewer resources.

Top-quality material, e.g. from special production runs, is offered at favorable conditions in our offcut store.

KTK Kunststofftechnik recycles up to 16 tons of materials via the company Pekutherm Kunststoffe GmbH. plastic waste per year. This means that up to 80 tons of CO2 emissions are saved annually by returning the recyclates to the raw material cycle. An active contribution to climate protection.
