Google AdWords, Google conversion tracking and Google Analytics

This website uses Google AdWords. AdWords is an online advertising program from Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, United States (“Google”).

With Google AdWords, we use conversion tracking. If you click on a Google ad, a cookie for conversion tracking is set. Cookies are small text files that the internet browser places on the user’s computer. These cookies become invalid after 30 days and are not used to identify users. If the user visits certain pages of this website and the cookie has not expired, Google and we can see that the user clicked on the ad and was taken to this page.

Every Google AdWords customer is given a different cookie. The cookies cannot be traced via the websites of AdWords customers. The information obtained with the help of the conversion cookie is used to compile conversion statistics for AdWords customers who have opted for conversion tracking. Customers discover the total number of users who clicked on their ad and were forwarded to a page containing a conversion tracking tag. However, they do not receive information that would enable users to be personally identified. If you do not want to participate in tracking, you can refuse your consent by simply disabling the Google conversion tracking cookie in your browser’s user settings. As a result, you are not included in the conversion tracking statistics.

Conversion cookies are stored in accordance with GDPR Article 6(1)(f). The website operator has a legitimate interest in the analysis of user behavior in order to optimize its website and advertising.

For more information on Google AdWords and Google conversion tracking, see the Google data privacy policy: https://www.google.de/policies/privacy/.

You can configure your browser to inform you when cookies are used and only permit cookies in individual cases, to prevent the acceptance of cookies in certain cases or always, and to activate the automatic deletion of cookies when you close the browser. If you disable cookies, the functions on this website may be restricted.

We use Google Analytics to analyze website use. We use the acquired data to optimize our website and advertising measures.

Google Analytics is a web analysis service operated and provided by  Google Inc. (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, United States). Google processes the data on website use on our behalf and is contractually committed to measures to ensure the confidentiality of the processed data.

During your visit to the website, the following data is recorded:

  • Accessed pages

  • Technical information such as browser, internet provider, terminal device and screen resolution
  • The origin of your visit (i.e. from which website or advertisement did you reach the site)

This data is transmitted to a Google server in the United States of America. Google adheres to the data privacy provisions of the “EU-US Privacy Shield” agreement.

Google Analytics stores cookies in your web browser for a period of two years from your last visit. These cookies contain a randomly generated user ID that identifies you when you visit the website in the future.

The recorded data is stored together with the randomly generated user ID, which makes it possible to evaluate pseudonymized user profiles.

If you do not agree to this data being recorded, you can prevent it by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
