Properties
The range of possible applications is huge: Hard PVC has very good chemical resistance, is suitable for outdoor use and is flame-retardant in accordance with DIN 4102 B1.
PVC has high resistance to acids, alkalis and saline solutions and is normally impact resistant. PVC also has good welding and bonding properties. PVC is flame-retardant and meets the requirements for classification in fire class B1 in accordance with DIN 4102 (1 – 4 mm). PVC has very good heat distortion resistance and good processing properties.
Processing
PVC can be processed with conventional machines and tools. PVC can be processed in numerous ways, e.g. turning, milling, sawing, drilling, punching, welding, cold bending, cold forming, printing.
