Technical progress in the production of electronics and semiconductors leads to ever more stringent requirements being placed on the materials used. The main problem here is electrostatic discharge (ESD). Static discharge attracts dirt particles (e.g. wafer contamination). Uncontrolled static discharge leads to degradation on conductor tracks and the contacts of the components. Antistatic static materials do not become statically charged through friction.

Properties
ESLON does not become statically charged through friction. ESLON has very good thermoforming properties and can be provided in various types. Certain materials can be delivered with abrasion resistance, high impact strength or FM4910 approval.
Processing
ESLON can be machined with conventional machines and tools. Prior to machining, the product should however be at room temperature or have been stored in a normal atmosphere for at least 24 hours prior to processing. ESLON can be processed in numerous ways, e.g. milling, sawing, drilling, punching, welding, thermoforming, cold bending, deep drawing.
